Q: Do I need any special equipment?

A: Yes. You need wrestling shoes and sometimes you will need headgear.

Q: When do I need headgear? 

A: Folkstyle wrestling, also known as scholastic wrestling, requires headgear. It is generally not necessary during club practice.

Q: Is there a recommended brand of shoe? 

A: No. Just make sure the shoes fit like a glove. They should not be loose and spacious like regular athletic shoes.

Q: What clothing should be worn for practice?

A: Athletic clothes. Nothing too big and loose, or with metal zippers and/or adornments.

Q:Is jewelry okay?

A: No

Q: Is food or water allowed?

A: The only thing allowed is water, unless there is a medical reason, then let Coach know ahead of time.
